POMPEI, old village on the slopes of Vesuvius, was completely razed in 79 BC in consequence of a volcanic eruption. Today Pompei is an archaeological heritage of Unesco. Walking through Pompei you can still find wonders submerged and covered with lava which creates an impressive and unique landscape.
